2024/2025 Countryside Trail Trek

We believe everyone has the right to access the countryside and enjoy all its beauty and charm. At Severn Valley Alpacas, we know the cathartic effect our lovely alpacas and stunning views have.
Come and enjoy our Countryside Trail Trek and you will also walk past a Roman , Medieval and Tudor settlement, viewing the ruins with Andy your co host & British Museum Volunteer worker explaining the local history, informing and showing you where the coinage and artefacts that have been discovered all around where you are trekking with your Alpacas!
Duration: 2.5 hours
Minimum of 4 Alpaca Walkers
Maximum of 6 Alpacas Walkers

Cost: £60.00 per person
Please note this walk is not suitable for Children under 5, children aged 7 to 12 will not be permitted to have an independent alpaca but can share an alpaca with a responsible adult who will remain in charge of the alpaca at all times.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your trek.
Park in the car park and walk down to our Welcome and seating area. The trek will begin with an introduction and an alpaca welfare talk. we will then collect your Alpacas and bring them to you.
We will discuss walking with your alpaca and general safety. then we shall set of across our top field and out onto the lane. We will walk a short distance along a country lane towards the bridal path and walk through the tree lined path,. The walk concludes with a short walk up the lane and back at Severn Valley Alpacas. This is a leisurely walk, the Alpacas will stop frequently to look about and admire the stunning views. Alpacas do not rush, when trekking with alpacas they are slow paced and chilled, they stop frequently to look at the environment allowing the trekker to do so also. Trekking with an alpaca is a pleasurable and relaxing experience that elicits a sense of calm and wellbeing in the ambiance of the stunning countryside. We will have lots of opportunities to take some stunning photographs.
The path is uneven and is therefore likely to be unsuitable for anyone with a disability that effects walking. The walk is also not suitable for children under 5 given the duration of the walk. We would ask you to consider this when booking. Please call Loraine to discuss if your booking requires Children.
At the end of the walk we return to Severn Valley Alpacas and return the Alpacas to their Paddocks. We will then supply appropriate alpaca food and you can feed the Alpacas and meet them all up close. You will be able to take photographs if you wish. Before entering the paddocks and on leaving we ask that you disinfect your boots in our disinfectant boot wash. We then take you back to our hand wash station within our welcome and seating area where you will be served with refreshments of drinks, snacks and cakes.
